Heidrun MalComes was born and raised in a small town in Hessen, Germany.
In 1981, she received a diploma as a professional photographer.
In 1983, she started her studies at University of Applied Science in Würzburg, Bavaria which she finished successfully with a degree in Communcation Design in 1987.
Years of work as an art director for several advertising agencies followed.
She began working as a freelance artist in 2001, first out of her own studio in Karlsruhe-Grötzingen and later also running her own gallery, the KUBA, where she exhibits her own art as well as the works of other artists.
Heidrun’s work includes photography, paintings, and sculptures. She has also published four books. Her art has been shown at galleries and art shows in the area of Karlsruhe and beyond.
She has received numerous rewards and recognition for her work.
